Meet KiKi
At Mikiya Skin Essentials, we adhere to a "less is more" philosophy. Our mission is to offer practical solutions with fewer, multi-functional products that meet a variety of needs.
Beyond my business, I am dedicated to giving back to the community, particularly to the elderly and underserved groups. Through my husband’s nonprofit organization, Advocates for Community Enhancement, I strive to make a meaningful difference and uplift lives. I live by the principle of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12), which guides my personal and professional actions.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, cooking, decorating, cleaning, gardening, and taking scenic walks. I cherish quality moments with my wonderful husband, children, loving parents, beautiful sisters, amazing friends, and extended family.
Fun fact about me: I absolutely adore horses. They are incredible animals that symbolize grace, loyalty, perseverance, and strength—qualities that resonate deeply with me and enrich my life.

Mikiya Skin Essentials, LLC
Mikiya Skin Essentials is based in Houston, Texas, but my story began in the Washington, DC area, where I grew up. I graduated from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Go Bulldogs!
With over 25 years of experience across federal, private, and academic sectors, I’ve built a diverse skill set that includes executive administration, project & program management, analytical roles, personnel training, incident management, human resources, OSHA compliance, marketing, computer graphics, payroll, accounting, and database management.
A passion for natural ingredients fueled my journey into creating beauty and wellness products. Encouraged by my mother to start my own brand, I became determined to address the frustrations I experienced with subpar wellness products. This drive led to the founding of Mikiya Skin Essentials, where I focus on delivering high-quality offerings.
I take great pride in formulating oil blends and skincare products that I genuinely enjoy sharing with others. I understand that meaningful results take time, which is why I emphasize patience and consistency. While the body wellness oil blends often provide immediate relief, face oils, soaps, creams, etc., may take longer to reveal their full benefits, especially for more severe skin issues or uneven skin tones. It’s essential to remember that skin conditions develop over time, and healing is a process that requires time, as well as trust and commitment.
